What’s the procedure when I have chosen Tippevent?

Decide for your desired Prediction Game on our website.
Please inform us about your contact details and the information required for the set-up (depending on the version booked, the desired Prediction Game user, the name of the Prediction League or the future domain) via form.
We take care of all further steps, you receive promptly your individual access data and can get started.

Which technical requirements do I need to fulfill?

The Prediction Game is hosted on our servers and is technically fully supported by us. For setting up Tippevent PREMIUM, ALLSTAR and ALL-INCLUSIVE, please only tell us the domain you want to use to access your Prediction Game in the future. These are set up in your domain service where you need to deposit the IP address of our server. We will provide you with the specific information after booking.

The users only need a device with an internet browser and an internet connection. Our Prediction Game is usable device-independent – on PC, tablet and smartphone.

Can I continue to use Tippevent after the World Cup?

Yes. Tippevent has its roots in permanent operation of the German Bundesliga and can be used with it wonderfully. Our long-standing customers, such as Hitradio RTL or the Saxon Radio Association BCS, have benefited from this for several seasons.

Let us know and we will set up your prediction game on time for the new season for the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga, the Champions League or other European top leagues.

Can Tippevent also be used for other events, such as handball, Formula 1 or ice hockey?

Yes, there are no limits on the versatility of Tippevent in this point. Even cross-sport Prediction Games, e. g. Prediction Leagues for several sport clubs in a city, are possible. We are happy to advise you on your individual prediction game event.

Is the page also available on mobile devices?

Yes, the prediction game is designed and implemented as a web app and thus fully functional on all device classes (desktop PC, tablet and smartphone) via a browser. We are also working on the implementation of native apps for Android and iOS.

Questions about the Prediction Game

What is a Prediction League?

A Prediction League is to be understood as a room or lobby for a selected group of people or a specific group of users used for predicting sport results. You can create your own Prediction Leagues for a World Cup tournament (e. g. for different departments of your company, friends or family circles) and invite participants by e-mail. In the Tippevent BASIC version you can design your league with your own logo and a design color.

How many Prediction Leagues can I create?

As a host you can create up to 5 Prediction Leagues in the Tippevent PREMIUM and ALLSTAR version. If you should need any more, you can easily book the add-on “Unlimited number of Prediction Leagues” at any time. In the Tippevent ALL-INCLUSIVE version the add-on is already included. The FREE version has no limits on Prediction Leagues, too.

How many participants are possible at maximum?

Single prediction leagues in the FREE version are open to 50 users.
In the BASIC version, up to 100 users can participate per prediction round.
In each prediction game in the PREMIUM version there are max. 1.000 participants possible, too. A further 1,000 users can be added via an extension. Individual wishes that go beyond this can be implemented at any time in consultation with us.
The ALLSTAR version includes up to 5,000 participants. Larger numbers of users can be realised by individual agreement.
With Tippevent ALL-INCLUSIVE we envisage up to 10,000 users. There are no technical limits for further scaling. Depending on your individual requirements, we will set up your own prediction game server.

Are there any bonus questions?

Yes, the popular bonus questions are included. In this way, you can predict the world cup champion or on how the performance of the German team will be, which may gain you several positions in the ranking list.

The bonus questions can be answered by the participants until the start of the tournament.

Am I able to create my own bonus questions?

In the PREMIUM administration area up to two own bonus questions can be created.

In addition, individual solutions with own prediction game concepts are also conceivable. Just contact us for further information.

Will the ensigns of the teams be shown?

Yes, every participating team appears with its national flag.

How does the scoring system work?

The ball is round and the game lasts ninety minutes. We want to keep the rules just as beginner-friendly as the prediction game itself. That’s why we do not have a large brief to study before kick-off.

A correctly predicted result will score 4 points.
A correctly predicted difference will score 3 points.
A correctly predicted tendency will score 2 points.

The score of a draw deviates from that. A correct result will score 4 points, the difference respectively tendency will score 2 points.

The correct answer to bonus questions will score 5 points.

In the knockout phase, the result is counted after the regular 90-minute whistle – extra time and penalty shoot-out have no effect on the prediction game.

Does predicting based on betting rates work (are there any extra scoring points for underdogs)?

Currently there is no function of Predicting Games based on betting rates possible or planned. For an adaptation of your Prediction Game according to your individual rules, please contact us.

Are there any reminder emails?

Yes, users will receive a reminder mail for games not yet played on matchdays in good time before kick-off. The function can also be switched off via the user settings.

What user roles and rights are there in a Prediction League?

Participant:

Enter Prediction League, give predictions, answer bonus questions

Manager:

Invite and remove participants into Prediction League
Equip further participants with manager role
in the BASIC version you can see an overview of participants who have not yet saved their predictions

Owner:

Automatically assigned role when creating a new prediction group
Edit prediction group (name and description) and delete it
Assign Owner and Manager role to other participants
In the BASIC version, one color and one logo can be set for each prediction group

Questions about technology, support and data security

Can you set up the Prediction Game for us and maintain supplied content?

Yes. We gladly offer you the implementation service as an extrension of the PREMIUM version. Customers of Tippevent ALLSTAR and ALL-INCLUSIVE do not have to worry about anything and receive the setup automatically.

Who takes care of support?

For technical questions about Tippevent we are at your disposal as operators. We ask you, as the organiser of the respective Prediction Game, to clarify organisational demands by individual participants. For this purpose, a seperate contact page can be deposited in the administration area of Tippevent PREMIUM, ALLSTAR and ALL-INCLUSIVE.

What are the business hours?

You can reach us with your questions from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00.

During the World Cup of course, we are available for you even in the evening and on weekends to ensure the smooth running of the tournament for all our customers.

Can a custom CSS file (e. g. for your own colours and fonts) be included?

Currently, it is not possible to vary the global design of the Prediction Game with own CSS files.

In our BASIC version you can provide individual Prediction Leagues with their own logo and colour design.
The PREMIUM, ALLSTAR and ALL-INCLUSIVE versions give you access to the administration area, where you can make various other adjustments (e. g. background graphics, favicon or starting page content).
We are also happy to advise you on further changes for an individual Prediction Game.

What happens to the user data?

The application runs on our server and you acquire the rights of use for the period of the 2022 World Cup (November/December 2022). You as the organiser and we as the technical operators have equal access to the user data.

According to our privacy policy, which you can see on our website, we collect personal data exclusively for the operation of the application. Under current EU data protection regulation we are not entitled to use this data for other purposes (e. g. sales actions).

At the end of the tournament we empty our use database. As an organiser, you will receive a copy of the relevant user table before that.

Where is the user data?

Tippevent is hosted by our service provider on German servers and according to German data protection respectively the conditions of the valid EU data proction regulation. The location of the data as well as the ISO certificate 27001 for IT security of our partner is provable upon request.

For the operation of the application, we only collect the necessary stock and traffic data. The conditions can be found in the privacy policy of the Prediction Game.

Can we integrate the Prediction Game on our own page?

The integration of the prediction game on other sites is currently only possible via iFrame. We work with high pressure at an interface to the extended integration of the application.

However, the PREMIUM and ALL-INCLUSIVE versions offer the possibility of running the Prediction Game unter its own subdomain (e. g. https://tippspiel.YOUR-COMPANY.de) and with far-reaching design adaptations. Thus, the Prediction Game integrates for the users in a natural way and without any noticable break in the look of your website.
